The past couple of weeks a reunion site has been started for our 20th class reunion and it has been pretty fun getting in touch with old friends again and seeing pictures of everyone and learning what has been going on in the last 2 decades. Now typing that makes me feel old! LOL!
I really never thought I would even ever attend a high school reunion but am seriously considering it now. I just didn't feel any connections with anyone really and thought why bother. But the more I have talked with everyone on facebook and the reunion site I realize that some connections just don't die. New London was a very small town and many of us spent 18 years of our lives together in school and whatever else we did growing up. I just went through a box of pictures and it was fun to relive some memories. I was just so shy in school that I thought the person I am now is so different from who I was then, why bother with going back. But on the flip side of that it will be fun to actually get to hang out with everyone. The date hasn't been set yet so it depends on that since I'm 10 hours away, but it just may happen. We will see.
The pictures below are me and my best friend, Lori Jacobs, on our graduation day. My dad had a old limo he brought us in and even wore a suit drive us around! It was pretty fun. Of course I remember just about dying inside when I saw it. I was all about just disappearing into the background and this was not the way to do it! But it was fun! And then us at graduation, and literally the last day I saw so many from my class. And the last 2 pics are 2 of my senior pictures. If you compare them to the first on up above can you see 20 years difference? :)
you realy should go! I just had my 20th last year and I had a blast. I had not realy stayed in touch with any one either but now have reconnected with so many people again. and you know what I found uot? Almost every one has grown up. LOL
